Every week I will be providing you all with my personal opinions on the next matches along with my predicted results. These opinions can change dramatically the closer we get to kick-off, but its a great place to start.

West Brom 17:30 Burnley

TEAM NEWS

West Brom's new signing Karlan Grant could make his debut after his arrival from Huddersfield.

Callum Robinson is self-isolating and fellow striker Hal Robson-Kanu is out with a broken wrist.

Burnley's Jay Rodriguez is fit again following an ankle injury but Ben Mee, Jack Cork, and Matt Lowton remain out.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Johann Berg Gudmundsson were injured on international duty and will be assessed.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54504242

Prediction

in 47 games so far this season there hasn't been a 0-0 draw but I feel this one has a no-score draw written all over it.

West Brom have got one more point than Burnley and that's just one point. Both Burnley and West Brom are desperately in need of kick-starting their season and both teams will feel they can win this game. I feel we will see a lot of hard challenges, yellow cards, and maybe even a couple of reds.

MY PREDICTION: A very lively 0-0

Leeds 20:00 Wolves

TEAM NEWS

Leeds: Deadline day signing Raphinha could make his Leeds debut, while Pablo Hernandez hopes to be involved for the first time since the opening weekend.

Captain Liam Cooper is a doubt because of a groin injury and Diego Llorente is out with a similar problem.

Wolves summer signing Fernando Marcal has recovered from a calf problem and is expected to play.

Fellow wing-back Jonny Otto is the only definite absentee for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

FAN VIEW

LEEDS UNITED Fan Paul Brace

Monday night sees two rejuvenated clubs go head to head at Elland Road. Leeds will be waiting on a late fitness test on captain Liam Cooper, whilst Diego Llorente returns from international duty with a hamstring strain and will miss out. New signing Raphinha looks to be added to the squad. Wolves 5 Portuguese internationals have come back covid clear, whilst Marcal could return after missing the last 2 games with a calf injury.

Leeds have started the season confidently and after a very good 1-1 draw against Man City, early-season defensive problems seemed to have been ironed out. Wolves will also be looking to continue their tightening up defensively after conceding 7 in 2 before their Fulham 1-0 win

A tight affair but one not lacking attacking football. With defenses tightening up on both sides I can see one goal being the decider..... and a home victory.

Paul Brace Prediction.    Leeds1-0 Wolves

Prediction

Last season my favorite team to watch was Wolves, this season its Leed´s so this for me has the making of a great game.

Leeds looked very impressive against Man City last time out and were unlucky not to come away without a deserved win.

In contrast Wolves season so far have been up and down glimpses of magnificence but strewn with errors.

MY PREDICTION: A great end to end attacking game 2-2

TEAM NEWS

Sheffield United's record signing Rhian Brewster is expected to make his debut.

John Egan's availability is being investigated after he came into close contact with a Republic of Ireland team-mate who tested positive for Covid-19.

John Fleck, Oli Burke and David McGoldrick are all doubts after getting injured on international duty.

Fulham's new recruit Joachim Andersen has damaged ankle ligaments during training and faces several weeks out.

Mario Lemina is fit but Kenny Tete and Harrison Reed remain sidelined.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football

Fan View

Richard Oates

Better late than never they say, and Fulham fans will hope that proves to be the case as the long-awaited defensive reinforcements arrived late in the transfer window.

Denmark’s Joachim Andersen has pedigree having played for Sampdoria and Lyon while Tosin Adarabioyo has shown his ability in the Championship, but can he make the step up to Premier League level?

In Midfield, Ruben Loftus-Cheek‘s loan deal has a lot of fans excited, and with good reason given his exploits for England only two years ago at the last World Cup.

Fans will be eagerly looking to the team sheet to see whether the gritty ball-winner Harrison Reed is back to fitness to add some steel in front of an otherwise susceptible back four.

With no points from 4 games, Fulham fans recognise the need to get something from a Blades team that are yet to get off the mark with only one goal scored. Rhian Brewster’s addition though will add an attacking threat they’re in need of.

Fan Prediction: a tight, cagey affair. A point apiece with a 1-1 draw.

My Prediction

Neither team has gained a point as yet this season but that has to change this game. In my opinion, Sheffield has played the better football this term but Fulham have finally got some new players to sure up there defence.

I believe this will be a low key affair with any chance potentially taking home the spoils.

My Prediction 0-1

TEAM NEWS

Crystal Palace are without Wayne Hennessey and James McCarthy, who were both injured on international duty.

Michy Batshuayi returns after being ineligible to face Chelsea, while Gary Cahill, Patrick van Aanholt, Jeffrey Schlupp and James Tomkins could play.

Brighton pair Tariq Lamptey and Davy Propper are back in training after respective hamstring and Achilles problems and will be assessed.

Aaron Connolly is another fitness doubt due to wrist and neck injuries.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh is unlikely to feature because of a thigh problem but Swiss forward Andi Zeqiri, who joined the club earlier this month, is under consideration.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football

My Prediction

Both teams have had their ups and downs this year ranging from shoddy defending to excellent attacking play.

Even though I enjoy the way Brighton are progressing I feel Palace at home will be a tough challenge for them to break down.

My Prediction: Close fought 1-1

TEAM NEWS

Tottenham

Gareth Bale will probably make his first Tottenham appearance since 2013 on Sunday, according to Jose Mourinho.

Fellow new signing Carlos Vinicius will be on the bench, but Eric Dier is a fitness doubt and Giovani Lo Celso and Japhet Tanganga miss out.

West Ham have manager David Moyes back in the dugout and defender Issa Diop available again, with both of them having recovered from Covid-19.

Ryan Fredericks and Arthur Masuaku are expected to be fit and involved.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football

My Prediction

West Ham have been playing really well with their manager David Moyes in quarantine, with him back on the bench for this game change the way they perform? Well only if your superstitious, I guess…

After beating Leicester, they now have the belief to succeed, but will this be enough against their neighbors?

Tottenham may well have the much-anticipated prodigal son making his debut in this match although chances are it will be as a sub.

Harry Kane was looking a little jaded playing for England; however, I’m not surprised considering the number of bad challenges against him and the number of games his already played this term.

All in all, I feel Tottenham are riding high and already have too much firepower upfront for West Ham to deal with even without Bale.

My Prediction comfortable win for Spurs 3-1

TEAM NEWS

Leicester's £31.8m signing Wesley Fofana is in contention to make his debut, with Caglar Soyuncu ruled out because of a muscle strain.

Jonny Evans and Jamie Vardy are doubts due to respective abdominal and calf issues but James Maddison is available.

Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith is likely to name the same starting XI that dismantled Liverpool 7-2 before the international break.

Keinan Davis has been nursing a minor calf injury but is expected to be fit.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football

My Prediction

Yet another big local derby.

Aston Villa riding high with 3 wins out of 3, and that ridiculous result against Liverpool has me wondering if maybe they are the new Leicester?

Leicester will be looking to bounce back after being dismantled by West Ham last time out and definitely have the players to do it.

My Prediction: High scoring 4-2

Everton12:30Liverpool

TEAM NEWS

Everton are monitoring the fitness of Lucas Digne, who suffered a minor knee injury on international duty.

Seamus Coleman, Allan, and Andre Gomes all returned to training this week and are under consideration but Mason Holgate continues to be absent.

Liverpool remain without goalkeeper Alisson so Adrian will again deputise.
Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara are set to return after self-isolating because of positive coronavirus tests, while Joel Matip is back in training.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • ·         Liverpool are on a club-record run of 22 unbeaten matches in all competitions versus Everton (W11, D11).

    ·         Seven of the past eight league derbies at Goodison Park have ended in draws. Liverpool won the other match.

    ·         The last three derbies hosted by Everton have finished goalless.

    ·         Everton are without a home league goal against their Merseyside neighbors in six hours and 45 minutes.

Everton

·         This is the first Merseyside league derby with Everton starting top of the table since September 1989.

·         Everton are looking to win their opening five league games for the first time since 1938-39. They beat reigning top-flight champions Arsenal in their fifth match that season.

·         A league-high 13 goals have been scored in just two games at Goodison Park this term.

·         Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored nine goals in six appearances for Everton in all competitions this season.

·         No player in Europe's elite five divisions has scored more.

·         Teams managed by Carlo Ancelotti have kept a clean sheet in five of their six competitive home matches against Liverpool (W4, D1, L1).

Liverpool

·         Liverpool have lost four of their past eight away league games, as many as in their previous 46 away fixtures.

·         The Reds could suffer consecutive league defeats for the first time since September 2015.

·         Liverpool have conceded 23 goals since June's Premier League resumption. Only Crystal Palace (25) and Brighton (24) have let in more over this period.

·         Mohamed Salah has scored 99 goals in 158 games for Liverpool in all competitions and is looking to become the 17th player to reach a century of goals for the club.

·         Klopp is unbeaten in his 11 Merseyside derbies as Liverpool manager in all competitions (W7, D4).

Prediction

I don't think I have ever seen so much anticipation for a Merseyside derby in my 40years of watching. True Everton have got off to an absolute flyer this year whereas the previously unbeatable Liverpool have stumbled at the block in what Klopp has called a useful defeat.

I believe that on occasions like this it's easy to overthink the outcome so I´m going to draw from these clubs' long history and predict the most common outcome for a derby.

My Prediction 1-1

Chelsea15:00Southampton

TEAM NEWS

Chelsea will be sweating over their two summer signings Mendy (thigh) and Chilwell (foot) both picked up whilst away on international duty.

Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are both available after injury, but will they get a place on the team? In fact, Lampard seems to have the problem that every manager dreams of, good quality players all fighting for a place on the pitch.

Southampton by contrast are going to have to do some rearranging, with Stuart Armstrong testing positive for Covid it looks like Theo Walcott could take his place having arrived on deadline day.

Ings is fit and Nathan Redmond looks set to start his first game of the season.

Prediction

I've got a feeling there will be goals involved in this one.
Although Southampton have been tight at the back in their last couple of games and Chelsea were relieved to keep a clean sheet in there last, after the three they let in against West Brom.
Both sides have the firepower and the keepers to make this one tasty

My Prediction 3-1

Manchester City17:30Arsenal

TEAM NEWS

Arsenal could hand a debut to deadline day purchase Thomas Partey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a slight injury last week but was pictured in training this week, so could fixture.

Kieran Tierney, has had to self-isolate after coming into close contact with a COVID-positive teammate on international duty.

Man City will be missing the usual suspects from this season: Gabriel Jesus, Sergio Aguero, and Oleksandr Zinchenko with possible additions of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne who will be fitting to be fit all the way to the whistle.

Prediction

This is another great game this weekend, we really are spoilt. Arsenal have had a good start and will be hard for City to breakdown, but going forward I don´t feel Arsenal have enough options to stretch the City defense.

My Prediction 2-0

Newcastle United20:00Manchester United

TEAM NEWS

Newcastle's Jamal Lewis is fit despite missing Northern Ireland's last game.

Manchester United are without the suspended Anthony Martial, while Harry Maguire is doubtful after suffering a minor injury on England duty or he’s being rested?.

Edinson Cavani is in quarantine after his move to England and is unavailable.

Fellow deadline-day signing Alex Telles is in contention for his debut, while Donny van de Beek could start his first Premier League game since joining from Ajax.

Prediction

Newcastle are playing well and will make life very tough for United. Even thou ManU have been shipping goals left right and center they have been free-flowing at the other end.

As the story has been since the start of the season I believe we are going to see plenty of goals.

My Prediction 2-3
